Last month I posted the following:
“The theme of this year’s conference is the person and work of Jesus Christ. We want to highlight the saving work of Jesus by having people share their conversion testimonies at the general sessions of the conference. As we all come to meet Jesus again, we want to hear how Jesus has met you and changed your life, whether it was 40 years ago or last week. If you would be willing to stand up at Next and share your conversion story, please e-mail it to next-AT-sovgracemin.org.”
I think one of the best parts of my job has been reading the stories that have come in so far. God really works in some incredible ways! We’d love to get some more stories, though. Please consider whether this is something you would be willing to do, and send the text of your story to next-AT-sovgracemin.org.

Brian mentioned to me today that you should still send in your testimony even if it seems a bit “normal.” All conversion stories are amazing, so send yours in.
Here’s mine in the form of breaking headline news:
HARD-HEARTED BOY, 10, SAVED WHEN TEACHER REPEATS GOSPEL FOR 104,821st TIME
...Parents Stunned…say he was an unholy terror before conversion…
...Pastor: ‘It’s about time…that poor boy’s family was praying’...
...Suddenly interested in singing during church…conversion did not change bad vocal qualities…
THREE YEARS LATER…Boy reads John Stott’s ‘The Cross of Christ’ at age 13…
Ricky, that is a neat way to tell your testimony. Hmmm, I wonder if I could do that with mine.
I would send mine in, but I’m having jaw surgery so I will not know if I am going until I get there. Plus, I asked the doctor’s office if I could go and they asked “Are you speaking at this conference?” Fortunately I didn’t laugh until I got off the phone. :)
